"DATE: 05-11-09 tasted during 2009 All Canadian Wine Awards Judging
Appearance: Dark ruby.
Nose: Sweet oak, plum, cherry, leather, dark chocolate, interesting and inviting.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, heavyweight. Palate follows the nose. Big attack, midpalate is fat and ripe, soft/rich with big mouthfeel. Long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Huge modern merlot for the next ten years. Too big for many foods, better alone as a sipping wine." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Layers of rich black cherry fruit, and cassis on the nose. Spicy nutmeg and dark chocolate follow on the palate. The Merlot is full of character and an athletic body. The "Ironman" of our wine family. Aged 11 months in French oak barriques."
