My name is Larry Paterson (aka the little fat wino), and I have retired after almost 30 years in the employ of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. It is my intention as an Ontario-based Canadian citizen to utilize my right to free speech to address whatever concerns I see on this my private website. I am well aware that I am a conceited, obnoxious little fat man, but intend to have my say anyway. Nobody forced you to read this! Please note that my only personal income other than my OpTrust pension is a small honorarium for wine judging.

This page should develop into a list of links to many and varied articles and concerns that I feel the general public and the wine industry at large should see. I would like to state upfront that I believe that the Ontario government and the Liquor Control Board of Ontario are doing precious little to help any but the largest wineries in Ontario to survive, and indeed fear that the LCBO sees the little guys as unwanted competition. More later. Larry Paterson, October 29, 2005.
