"DATE: 04-14-07 Appearance: Light ruby.
Nose: Peppers, raspberry/cherry, spicy oak and a floral/mineral character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Good clean fruit-driven franc follows the nose. Deft touch of oak shows midpalate and in the clean dusty tannins that last into the long clean finish. Very nicely balanced for food and ageing purposes (good acid, moderate alcohol, good but not overly heavy extract).
Conclusions: More old world than new, this has good ageability, perhaps making its eighth birthday in good shape. Good now with most red meats as long as they are fairly rare, this should become a stand-alone interesting wine in another two years." lfw
