"DATE: 04-16-07 Appearance: Deep ruby with some mahogany forming.
Nose: Cherry, pencil lead, sweet oak, plum and a hint of something earthy developing.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, midweight plus. Nicely maturing fruit on the attack, with ripe tannins showing midpalate. Long clean finish.
Conclusions: Yet another good Merlot from Ontario. When well-grown and well-made, these are among our best products. This wine is just entering primetime, and has another six years in front of it. Suitable to a wide range of foods and drinking well already, without that soft, easy and cheap feel you get from so many warm-climate merlots." lfw
