"DATE: 12-31-07 Appearance: Light ruby, quite pretty colour.
Nose: Plum, cherry, strawberry, light oak notes and a peppery character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, light to midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, with great fruit on the midpalate, light dusty tannins and a good clean finish.
Conclusions: An elegant light red that, dare I suggest, might sit very well with heavier white wine food situations, or be good on a social basis. Not for long ageing (drink before 2011) but will soften. A very useful (and in the current market increasingly rare) light red wine." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"An amazing wine, this is the only single varietal Chambourcin you will find north of the border. A fruit forward red that is full of dark berry flavours and a hint of cracked pepper. This wine pairs best with roast beef, pasta in tomato sauce and especially pizza."
