"DATE: 12-30-07 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Deep plum, tobacco, sweet oak, violets and light dark chocolate.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Quite big merlot follows the nose, adding more dark fruit (black raspberry, cherry), a buttery vanilla character and ripe tannins on a long clean finish.
Conclusions: Nice merlot for now or five years from now, very modern style, quite generally useful. Good in social situations too." lfw
