"DATE: 05-07-08 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Cassis, spicy oak, butter, black cherries, pepper and an earthy quality.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Palate is more flavourful than the nose, suggesting that the wine is not yet in harmony. Much in the way of dark berries added on the fruity attack, flavours nicely follow the nose, with a silky richness on the midpalate, and fine dusty tannins on the long clean finish.
Conclusions: Quite dry old-world styled Bordeauxish red should age well for up to ten years. Best now with a rare cut of red meat or with foods with tomato paste, this should be worth waiting for the show it will put on starting about 2012." lfw
