wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 02-09-10 $ 15.00 / 500 ml (S: Medium A: 14.7) Winery

"DATE: 03-02-10 Appearance: Deep blueberry purple.
Nose: Big blueberry pie nose with a little heat/portiness.
Palate: Medium with good acidity, heavyweight. Big palate nicely follows the nose, with big blueberry on the attack leading to herbal and spicy notes on the midpalate. Finish is soft, long and clean.
Conclusions: Think of a dry port and you are in the ballpark with this one. Not for hearty consumption (though forgive me if I suggest this would excel in a glass with crushed ice on a hot summer day). Would stand up to big flavours esp if the food is lightly hot or spicy. Should last at least ten years, mellowing and building funkier flavours enroute." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"More like a Port Wine with a 14.7% alcohol level to support this. A sweet rich flavour of wild blueberries with Cabernet Franc that goes suprising well with steak."
