LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Off Dry Fruity White Wine
2008 Highland Blue Dolce
Tech Information: 02-09-10 $ 15.00 / 200 ml
(S: Sweet A: 14.7) Winery

"DATE: 03-02-10 Appearance: Deep blueberry purple.
Nose: Blueberry of course!
Palate: Sweetish with good acidity, heavyweight. Palate greatly outperforms the nose at this point (look for this to evolve as it ages). Wonderful rich softness on the midpalate with light tannins, plummy/blackberry flavours added to the blueberry and spice. Very long clean dry finish shows some nice herbal tones as well.
Conclusions: Very nice blueberry dessert wine that can handle significant aging, best by itself or rich creamy cheeses. Nicely done." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"The Highland Blue Dolce dessert wine is a silky, sweet dessert wine made from wild Nova Scotia Blueberries with a hint of Cabernet Franc. Savour this wine on its own by the small glass or as a complement to any dessert. It is delicious warmed as a topping."
