"DATE: 03-01-10 Appearance: Straw.
Nose: Melon, peach, light tropical notes.
Palate: Dry with moderate to good acidity, midweight. Palate follows the nose, softer than expected. Round rich fruit on the midpalate, with a good clean finish and nice mineral tones on the aftertaste.
Conclusions: Very foodworthy wine also quite useful for social purposes. Good now and will hold for a couple of years (do not give Pinot Gris long ageing, my experiences have been poor). Another very good wine from this to-most-unknown part of Nova Scotia (Bear River East) Pinot Gris - if it can reliably survive winters - is an ideal grape choice for this climate, and this charmer gives a good idea of what is yet to come." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Quite elegant, ripe yellow pear, honeydew melon and a subtle floral scent, with generously ripe apple and pear flavours, light, gravelly mineral and balanced acidity. An amazing result from young vines that are 100 per cent locally grown."
