"DATE: 11-23-08 Appearance: Deep ruby.
Nose: Intense sweet cherry and rich chocolate, smells kinda like Black Forest Cake including the spices.
Palate: Medium sweet with very good acidity, midweight plus. Palate nicely follows the nose, adding richness, warmth and a silky creamy character on the midpalate. Finish is very long, very good, sweet and yet shows that very attractive tartness in the aftertaste that cherries do (or is light bitterness a better description, think good Amaretto).
Conclusions: One of the best values on this or any other shelf containing dessert wines. Wonderful stuff indeed, should last many years (ten?). Well done Matt!" lfw
