"DATE: 01-06-08 Appearance: Light ruby with orange highlights.
Nose: Intense cassis nose, with a mineral/herbal undertone.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Big fruit on the attack, currants all the way through the silky midpalate with light tannins and good typical light currant bitterness on the long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Another foodworthy dryish fruit wine from Applewood. Ageworthy (five years plus). Matt has been working at creating dry fruit wines for consumption at the table. This one would work nicely with bbq foods, not overly warm, but not chilled either." lfw
