"DATE: 06-15-08 Appearance: Garnet with mahogany, ageing nicely.
Nose: Rich, fat fruit salad nose with smoky oak overtones and an earthy character.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, midweight plus. Deep fruit flavours (raspberry, cassis, prune, blueberry, elderberry) with moderate acidity, richness and a silkinessin the midpalate, with light ripe tannins on the long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Good fruit alternative to red wine. Worth purchasing for the label alone, but this could be used in many places where red wine would also do. A great alternative for many who cannot drink red grape wine." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"A dark, medium weight dry wine made with Wild Blueberries, Elderberries and Strawberries. Candied blueberries and vanilla on the nose with a medium weight and good acidity, long smooth tannins in the finish. Serve with grilled red meats and veggies."
