LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Dry Fruit Wine

2003 Proprietors Reserve
Tech Information:
04-12-06 $ 14.95 (S: 0 A: 13) Winery

"DATE: 04-06-06 Appearance: Dark purple, violet at the rim.
Nose: Rich vinous nose of sweet oak, dark berries, dark chocolate, quite rich.
Palate: Dryish with good acidity, midweight plus. Dark fruit on the palate follows the nose (sweet cherry as well), hints of almond, light ripe tannins. Not quite sure what's in this (Matt doesn't usually warn you!). Long clean finish.
Conclusions: Tastes much more like it was made from grapes than other fruit, this would be very handy at the dinner table. Rich, full and complex, a clever blend whatever it is..." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"The biggest of all our wines, bigger than most wines. Elderberries, Wild Blueberries and Strawberries. Huge fruit nose, Huge mid palate, lingers with plenty of vanilla in the finish. Great with big beef dishes."
