"DATE: 05-11-09 tasted during 2009 All Canadian Wine Awards Judging
Appearance: Ruby / purple.
Nose: Herbal nose with blackberry, blueberry, light spicy oak and mineral notes.
Palate: Off-dry with fresh acidity, light to midweight. Big palate follows the nose. Intense lovely gamey / earthy notes on the attack, somewhat austere midpalate iand a very long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Wonderful food wine from the grape that nobody wants to pronounce. In five years this will taste like good old-style Chianti. Not for the modern winelover, this would work for those who like classic food wines." lfw
