"DATE: RETASTED: 08-27-07 "Appearance: See below.
Nose: See below.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight (seems a bit more substantial than before). It is developing a very dry dusty character on the finish.
Conclusions: The wine seems to be maturing nicely, and is approaching full power. Drink by 2009, great with white wine foods, or lightly flavoured red wine meals." lfw

"DATE: 08-16-06 "Appearance: Salmon/orange.
Nose: Strawberry and a hint of peppers and breadiness.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, light to midweight. Clean strawberry/plum fruit, bits of astringency midpalate, long clean finish, a bit of warmth on the finish.
Conclusions: Food rose rather than an easy sipper, this needs something to work against to really strut its stuff." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Finally, a serious full-bodied dry Rosé with a strawberry aroma and finish that is reminiscent of the great Tavel vintages of past years. About 100 cases of this remarkable wine made from a single-vineyard Cabernet Franc remain. Left on the skins for two days, the wine has a sophisticated summertime pink, and with an alcohol level just under 13 per cent, this is definitely a wine for grownups. Light enough for typical Rosé sipping, yet big enough to accompany food."
