wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 12-04-07 $ 19.00 (S: 0 A: 12) Winery

"DATE: 12-28-07 "Appearance: Pale lemon.
Nose: Rich clean apple/pear/melon with vanilla, butter and a mineral character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Clean and refreshing attack, with a lovely typical County mineral character on the midpalate, some silkiness developing, and a long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Exceptional clean dry unoaked chardonnay is a great aperitif, which is quite capable of going five years in a good cellar. Yes it is worth the price, no it doesn't taste anything like most new world wines (if you like $15 Australian, you probably will not like this). Great wine for fancy food situations with lighter foods, We need more wines like this, for those who can appreciate them. Very nicely done.
