"DATE: 08-12-08 "Appearance: Light pale lemon, very clear and clean.
Nose: Lemon lime, light peach with a citrus note and a mineral charater in the background. Not powerful (yet) but quite interesting.
Palate: Just off dry with very good acidity, light to midweight. Lightness in body, not flavour, as the palate is more powerful than the nose, adding apricot and pear to the promised flavours. Silky mouthfeel develops on the midpalate, along with a light but pleasant astringency. Great stoney mineral character on the very long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Very nicely done elegant riesling which should go at least ten years, developing Riesling petrol in five. Great now with the usual white wine suspects at the table, will become richer as time goes. Riesling is greatly under-appreciated, and this is a very interesting example.
