"DATE: 10-19-08 Appearance: Ruby with a bit of purple.
Nose: Deep black cherry with some woodsy/earthy notes, spicy oak and a bit of dark chocolate.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Big palate nicely follows the nose, with big dusty tannins on the midpalate to go with richness and a developing silkiness. Very long clean very dry (almost austere) finish.
Conclusions: Big wine should go another six or seven years, best now with big red meat dishes, especially rarely done meats. Much bigger flavours than expected from pinot in Nova Scotia, fruit and oak not yet in harmony but enroute, should be wonderful in another two years." lfw
