Nose: Cherry, strawberry, spicy oak and butter with a light mineral note.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Big pinot follows the nose with ripe but dusty tannins, rich silky mouthfeel and a very long clean good dry finish.
Conclusions: Youthful rich pinot is good for up to 10 years. Excellent with many foods now (tasted over a great steak at the Tempest in Wolfville), will be a stand-alone interesting drink by 2012. May bottom out and seem to disappear, flavourwise, about late 2009, but this is normal for top quality pinot. It will come back better than ever after. Nicely done, very good quality, a pleasant surprise." lfw
