Growwine Members Biographies

Bruce Taylor, accountant by trade and Paula Gilthorpe, horticulturalist by trade, growwiners for some time. At our farm, RavensBrook, outside Warkworth we are balancing travel to Toronto, raising a young family and various experiments on the land ranging from mountain cranberries to a small producing Maple Syrup (and wine) operation. Our vineyard first planted in 2000 is a little over 1/4 acre with approx 250 vines ranging from the Pinot Noir to Kee Wah Din. With two more smaller vineyard plots started we have near 20 varieties in all. Plans are to expand, we have the space, after learning more and watching how the different varieties react to our little square on this planet.

We are patient.
