Dylan Lidster and Michelle Hawkins own a small greenhouse and nursery, just
on the outskirts of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. We are currently experimenting
with several varieties of extremely cold hardy grape varieties, mostly
suitable for table grape and or wine production. The varieties include some
Sabrevois (greenhouse only), DM-8521, Kay Gray, Delisle, ES 5-17, ES 8-2-43,
Valiant, Frontenac, Osbu, Skujins 675 and various small amounts of others.

We currrently have 1 acre planted and more to come in the near future. We
also have a few varieties planted in our greenhouses to ensure adequate heat
and flavour for blending possibilities. We are also experimenting with
heating cables and a polyethylene cover attached to each row to help us
through the first frosts to accumulate enough heat to ripen. First batches
of wine will be harvested in the fall of 2006.
