Robert St-Jean is an economist with the Federal Government and in his spare time he loves to garden on his one acre lot in Cantley Quebec. Some of his many horticultural interests range from wine grapes, vegetables, woodland plants, flowers, fruit trees, berries and orchids.

As of 2007 he has been growing grapes for three years and now includes such varieties as Foch, Frontenac, St. Croix, De Chaunac, and a few other hardy and less hardy varieties.

Robert is also the owner of a small business called The Cypripedium Garden which is aimed to sell native lady slipper orchids started from seed.
