"DATE: 07-04-07 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Peppers, cherry, plum, spicy oak and bits of chocolate. Palate: Dry with moderate to good acidity, midweight. Clean red berry fruit (raspberry) adds to the nose. Some silkiness developing midpalate. Clean tannins and a bit of warmth on the long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Maturing franc would be a chameleon at the table, and still has four or five years of evolution in front of it before it becomes a stand-alone drinker. Good value fruit-driven example of the "Other" Cabernet..." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"This garnet hued wine exhibits aromas of red currant fruit with cigar notes on the finish. Pairs well with all types of tomato based dishes. This is the ultimate Italian cuisine companion."
