LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Dry Fruit Wine

2004 Black Currant Apple
Tech Information:
07-16-07 $ 15.95 (S: 2 A: 11) Winery

"DATE: 08-22-07 Appearance: Deep ruby.
Nose: Cassis with herbal notes, you have to go looking for the apple!
Palate: Dryish with good acidity, midweight. Palate follows the nose, with the apple flavours coming in midpalate with a mild earthy character, leading to light tannins and a pleasant bitterness on the long clean finish.
Conclusions: Interesting food-worthy red which could be matched to lighter red meat dishes which have something else sweet on the table (sauce, veggies, juice). Should go three years in a cellar, slowly mellowing, but ready to go now." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Another dark red bursting with black currant and mellowed with apple."
