LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Dry Fruit Wine

2004 Elderberry
Tech Information:
07-16-07 $ 16.95 (S: 3 A: 9.6) Winery

"DATE: 08-22-07 Appearance: Deep ruby.
Nose: Elderberry with the accompanying shiraz-like rubbery character, light oak and a light floral character.
Palate: Off-dry with moderate acidity, midweight plus. Palate nicely follows the nose, with softness midpalate and light tannins on a good clean finish.
Conclusions: Almost like a dry port, except that the alcohol is too low, but the fruit is indeed "porty". Should last three years or more, not sure what direction this relatively low-alcohol wine will take though." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"This hearty off dry full bodied deep red will thrill the palate."
