LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Medium Bodied Red Wine
2006 Estate Baco Noir
Tech Information: 09-09-08 $ 14.99
(S: 0 A: 12) Winery

"DATE: 09-13-08 Appearance: Deep ruby / purple.
Nose: Black cherry, cran/blueberry, light herbal and mineral notes, deep dark fruit, light cedar.
Palate: Dry with very good acidity, midweight. Palate is a bit more austere than the nose suggests, with light drying tannins and a zesty mouthfeel on the midpalate. Finish is good, clean and very dry.
Conclusions: Youthful baco with a six year future is best paired this early with spicy pasta dishes containing tomatoes (think good spaghetti!). Would also work well with summer bbq meats - load a burger almost any way you want and this will take it." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Carefully matured in small American and French oak barrels which resulted in an earthy, smoky wine with flavours of blueberry and black cherry. The palate is rich and complex, and is drinking well now but will continue to age for 2-5 year."
