"DATE: 09-12-08 Appearance: Light straw.
Nose: Light spicy/sweet oak, butter, light vanilla, apple, pear, inviting.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose with mild ripe tannins and a bit of creaminess on the midpalate. Finish is good and clean.
Conclusions: Nice wine for general food usage, should age well for two or three years. A chameleon at the table, as the freshness and citrusy mouthfeel will cleanse the palate between bites, yet the wine is not too heavy for simple foods either." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Clean, crisp and aromatic, our 2006 Estate Seyval Blanc is crafted in a slightly off-dry style. Intense green apple, citrus and pear aromatics on the nose. The flavours include melon, pear and apple with a wash of refreshing citrus acidity to balance this wine's subtle sweetness. Pairs well with steamed shellfish, seafood bisque and spicy Thai dishes."
