"DATE: 01-01-08 Appearance: Deep ruby.
Nose: Intense red peppers, red currants, strawberry, spicy oak and a herbal tone.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Big cab franc palate follows the nose, with dusty tannins showing with a silkiness midpalate, and a long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Good quality cab franc could go up to eight years in a good cellar, developing sexy/silky softness in time. Very good choice now for rare meats or flavourful foods (even flavourful white meats), but will go it alone in time." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Estate grown, this Cabernet Franc has a spicy earthiness on the nose and a hint of bell pepper and a touch of wood smoke. Flavours of red currant and plums combined with a smooth mouth-feel and rich tannins round out the experience."
