"DATE: 01-01-08 Appearance: Deep garnet.
Nose: Cran/blueberry notes with some light oak, bits of chocolate and gentle herbal character.
Palate: Dry with fresh acidity, midweight. Fruit-driven palate follows the nose, but is a bit more austere, fresher than expected. Light tannins on a dry finish with some earthy elements developing.
Conclusions: Not for long-term holding, this should be best before 2010, and would fit more flavourful foods rather than social situations." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"The 2004 and 2005 vintages have been blended together to give you this pleasant red, with loads of spice, slender feel and soft tannins. Flavours mindful of old world Rhone or Portuguese blend. Plumy and peppery notes. Mid-weight, taut and sourish acidity but not aggressive. Easy to quaff with very good length. Now to 2008."
