"12-21-07 Appearance: Yellow gold.
Nose: Intense baked aple, with accompanying spice, vanilla and floral overtones.
Palate: Sweet with moderate to good acidity, heavyweight. Huge flavours follow the nose, with richness and silkiness midpalate, very long clean finish.
Conclusions: Excellent alternative to the heavier style of icewine, this will last for more than ten years. Will get richer and richer with time, but is very nice now." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Produced since 1996, Frimas is a unique Winter Harvest® apple ice wine produced through natural cryoextraction. From vintage to vintage, this unparalleled apple ice wine features a deep amber color and develops a complex bouquet of exotic fruit with notes of caramel and baked apples.

Although ready for immediate consumption, Frimas can be aged and savored for several years. Served cold (6°C), it is the perfect accompaniment to foie gras—or a delightful dessert on its own!

From fifty bottles in 1996, production of Frimas increased to 8,133 bottles for the 2004 harvest, and then decreased to 3,466 bottles for the 2005 harvest. Frimas always comes as a limited edition."
