"DATE: 04-16-07 Appearance: Purple.
Nose: Spicy oak, dark berries (raspberry/cherry) some spiciness and chocolate developing, a hint of leather as well.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Good mouthfeel, nicely balanced fruit/extract/alcohol, ripe and dusty tannins, good long clean finish.
Conclusions: Somewhat precocious, drinking nicely already but I think that it will come together over the next two years, and hold for a further five. Worthy successor to the 2004." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Shows a rich ruby colour and plenty of licorice, berry and mineral character. The mid to full body has super tannins and a long finish.

Suggested food pairings: Rich, savoury and meaty stews; gorgonzola or blue cheese sauces and thick cuts of grilled red meats."
