"DATE: 05-11-09 tasted during 2009 All Canadian Wine Awards Judging
Appearance: Deep ruby.
Nose: Black pepper, sweet oak, cherry, spice, herb and earthy tones.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, heavyweight. Palate exceeds the nose. Big fat cherry, oak, ripe tannins and chocolate on the midpalate. Good clean long dry finish with sweet fruit on the aftertaste.
Conclusions: Modern style franc for now of six years from now, may become softer over time, should hold nicely and go well with a wide range of foods." lfw
