Nose: Soft sweet oak, cherry, red currant, peppers and mineral.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight, palate is more powerful than the nose. Nice fruit (you can add raspberry, plum and hints of cassis to the nose) on the attack. Silky with some richness on the midpalate, and a good long clean dry finish. Developing sexy berry flavours on the aftertaste.
Conclusions: Hitting above its weight (for a poorer vintage) this can go another five years, standing alone in three years, best now with food. Would work well at the table but not with the strongest foods. Great acidity allows it to be refreshing, allowing you to taste each new mouthful of food." lfw
