wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 06-09-08 $ 21.94 (S: Dry A: 14) Winery

"DATE: 12-21-07 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Rich black cherry, raspberry, light cassis, nice oak/chocolate and spicy cinnamon notes.
Palate: Dryish with good acidity, heavyweight. Big wine is fuller on the palate than on the nose, with rich mouthfeel, ripe tannins, deep fruit, chocolate/earthy/spicy notes. Quite complex. Very long clean good finish.
Conclusions: Think of this as a Quebec answer to Australian Shiraz. Probably capable of five to ten years in a good cellar, it is quite forward, quite precocious. Use this where you would normally use a big ripe red wine. I suspect that most people would never identify this very modern-styled wine as grown and made in Quebec..." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Verità is a red wine with rich fruit aromas, flavours of ripe cherries, sorrel and hints of woodiness that aren’t too aggressive. Better and better after every sip. Excellent with grilled meats and strong cheeses."
