wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 06-02-07 $ 21.95 / 500ml (S: 9 A: 9.5) Winery

"DATE: 06-02-07 Appearance: Somewhere between orange and salmon.
Nose: Peaches, honey, cranberry and spice.
Palate: Medium sweet with good acidity, midweight plus. Big fruit follows the nose nicely, rich mouthfeel with typical cranberry tannins and bitterness showing midpalate and lasting through the very long clean finish.
Conclusions: Very interesting blend of grape and fruit, there should be many more such experiments! Unique and wonderful dessert style wine (but the cranberry keeps it from being over-sweet). Should cellar for five years or more (my guess!). ." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"A blend of late harvest Vidal and cranberry wines, this wine is made in a dessert style. It is rich and sweet, balanced by tartness from the cranberries.

A Caroline Cellars specialty!"
