"DATE: 08-22-07 Appearance: Cherry with a bit of brick at the rim.
Nose: Cherry, beet, strawberry, something earthy as well, quite complex and inviting without being heavy.
Palate: Off-dry with moderate acidity, midweight. This level of sweetness in a red wine is often described as "mellow". Not a bad term. Quite fruity, with silkiness and soft mouthfeel midpalate. Long clean finish with ripe tannins showing up late.
Conclusions: Quite the unique blend of grape and fruit. Not for much longer keeping (drink by 2010) but working well right now. Cross the colour border and think of this in terms of glazed hams, chicken dishes, turkey with cranberry and sweet veggies. This would be a unique treat for a jaded palate that thinks it has tasted it all..." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Our special blend of Pinot Noir and Cherry wine. Very fruit forward, and slightly sweet, this wine makes a great aperitif, but pairs well with dark chocolate, or with popcorn and a movie! As the weather begins to cool down, this wine is also great for sipping in the hot tub!.
