"DATE: 07-08-07 Appearance: Antique gold.
Nose: Peaches and cream, honey, orange/apricot, pear, spices and tropical fruit. Intense and inviting.
Palate: Sweet with good acidity, heavyweight. Lovely fruit follows the nose, adding a rhubarb pie character midpalate. Nicely balanced acid/fruit/alcohol. Lovely light tannins and a bit of warmth on a very long clean finish.
Conclusions: One of the most interesting and best-tasting icewines I've had in a long time. And to get it you have to find the winery, which is in the middle of nowhere, Eastern Ontario. This wine by itself is an argument for extending small winery licenses to the nearest large city. This could go another ten years in a good cellar. Great value." lfw
