"DATE: 04-07-09 Appearance: Deep purple/steel blue.
Nose: Deep black fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry) with spicy light oak and a mineral character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, with silky notes and light dusty tannins on the midpalate and a long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Excellent value! Nice now, better in two years, should go another five. Very nicely foodworthy wine that would be just about perfect at a barbecue, but would also do well with a medium steak. Very good hope for the future Caledon wine industry!" lfw
