Nose: Bready/doughy notes with baked apple, pear and some mineral character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Big but elegant and complex, the palate greatly exceeds the nose. Rich vanilla, spicy oak, big mouthfeel, waves of flavour dance over the palate. Some tropical fruit midpalate and on the long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Big chardonnay has a ten year future, becoming funkier with each passing year (kinda like how old do you like your cheese?). Elegant and big, well-balanced with good concentration of flavours, a winner." lfw
