"DATE: 08-25-07 Appearance: Straw with green tints.
Nose: Rich baked apple, pear/peach, butter/vanilla and a mineral component.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Big-ish unoaked chard nicely follows the nose, with the palate bigger than the nose suggests (which in turn suggests ageability). Rich round softness midpalate, with a bit of an earthy tone added in, and a good long clean finish.
Conclusions: Ageworthy unoaked chardonnay could go up to eight years in a good cellar. This will eventually develop complexity including a positive vegetal character (I've never come up with the word for it, but it only comes through in aged high-quality wines). This would be a good choice for rich-ish white meats and fish dishes, black tie dinners of the same yet." lfw
