"DATE: 01-01-08 Appearance: Light ruby with some mahogany at the rim.
Nose: Strawberry, cherry, violet, light tar, light barnyard and spicy oak with some mineral character as well.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Palate is bigger than the colour and nose would suggest, but follows it well. Nice round mouthfeel, with some silkiness, light dusty tannins and a minerally freshness on the midpalate. Very long clean dry finish exhibits some interesting earthiness.
Conclusions: Nicely developing still-young good pinot with at least five years in front of it. look out for a part of 2009 when the flavour may seem to disappear - either drink now for its youthful flavours or drink between 2010 to 2012. A welcome companion to many an interesting and flavourful meal." lfw
