wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 05-30-09 $ 14.80 (S: 4 A: 10.4) Winery

"DATE: 05-29-09 Appearance: Pale lemon.
Nose: Pear of course with mineral and lemony notes.
Palate: Dryish with good acidity, midweight. Palate exceeds the nose. Fich soft pear on the attack yet it develops mineral and grapefruit zest on the midpalate. Good long clean drying finish with mineral on the aftertaste.
Conclusions: Easy-drinking social wine for now through 2011, would also work with lightly hot or spicy foods, and maybe even with the big bird at family holidays." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Nose: Appealing aroma that distinctly identifies this as an inviting pear wine. Clean fresh fruit, good aromatic intensity with some complexity yet subtle.

Palate: medium-dry, nice clean diverse pear flavours in a medium bodied wine. Enticing fruit presence that inspires another sip. Long slightly complex flavours of pear, spice, honey-maple. Clean yet without sharp acidity. An enticing summer social wine that begs a view and a Georgian Bay sunset."
