Nose: Sweet oak, sweet cherry, cassis, cedar, raspberry, chocolate and an herbal character. Maturing and complex.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Palate nicely follows the nose with a rich and silky midpalate, ripe tannins and a creamy quality. Very long dry clean finish.
Conclusions: We had an semi-formal blind tasting of reds on August 25 07 in Peterborough, and this was the handy winner of the tasting, though the second least expensive. Ready to go, firing on all cylinders. Could hold another four or five years, but why wait? Delicious, superb value" lfw
