"DATE: 04-10-08 Appearance: Deep ruby.
Nose: Cherry, plum, sweet oak, vanilla, light chocolate and a mineral note.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate is slightly more austere than the nose, mouthfeel is still rich though. Some midpalate heat, moderate tannins and a good long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Youthful Merlot with a five to seven year future, best now with rarer meats, will develop into something to have by itself in two to three years. Good bang for the buck, somewhere between new and old world in style, a great food wine for 2010." lfw
