LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Medium Bodied Red Wine
Shiraz Cabernet CE
Tech Information: 04-10-08 $ 13.65 (S: 0 A: 12.5) Winery

"DATE: 04-10-08 Appearance: Ruby with touches of mahogany at the rim.
Nose: Ripe dark berries, spicy oak, light chocolate and a moderate dose of that "rubbery" shiraz aroma that everyone but myself likes.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Palate follows the nose, as this wine is far less blowsy and extroverted than those factory Australian wines that the LCBO is so fond of pushing. Softness and some richness on the midpalate, gentle tannins and a good clean finish.
Conclusions: Not sure how long this will age (at least three to four years) but it is ready for all the usual red wine food suspects. Far more elegant than most Shiraz based wines." lfw
