"DATE: 07-11-07 Appearance: Light gold green.
Nose: Clean light undeveloped riesling nose of grapefruit, light peach/apricot, some mineral character.
Palate: Just off-dry with very good acidity, light to midweight. Palate has more flavour than the nose (suggests that the wine is very young and will develop). Flavours nicely follow the nose, with some silkiness developing midpalate, and a very long clean dryish finish.
Conclusions: Lovely riesling is a good example of balancing a wine with lots of fruit with good acidity and some residual sugar. Try this with a stirfry with some heat and spice to see what it is capable of. Aged ten years it will become a very interesting wine, with all kinds of flavour. It is always amazing how really good rieslings show little character during their first two years, blossoming into wonder wines later on. This gives every indication of being one of those wines." lfw
