LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Medium Fruit Wine

Blueberry
Tech Information:

"DATE: 07-08-07 Appearance: Blueberry ruby (what you'd see in a blueberry pie).
Nose: Blueberry of course, but also spices herbs and flowers.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, midweight plus. Big fruit follows the nose, rich mouthfeel, a little heat midpalate. Fine tannins show midpalate and last through a long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: This is another food wine disguised as a fruit wine. While it could be used in social situations by itself (though I'd like it sweeter for that) it should be used at the table. Try this with most meals having sweet vegetables on the plate. This could probably last more than five years in a good cellar." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"This wine is considered to be a dinner wine, excellent with fowl, fish, roast beef, veal, lobster, and creamy pastas. It is especially nice with smoked salmon. We suggest serving with these cheeses: Gruyere, Swiss, Cheddar, and serve slightly chilled."
