wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 07-08-07 $ 14.50 (S: Semi Dry A: 14) Winery

"DATE: 07-08-07 Appearance: Pale lemon.
Nose: Intense pear/peach/apricot aromatics, sweet-smelling and inviting.
Palate: Dryish with moderate acidity, midweight. Drier than the nose would have you expect, still soft clean fruit. Spiciness develops midpalate with some fine tannins which last through the long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: A good wine to substitute for off-dry riesling at the table. This would be a great choice for people who like white grape wines with food but have become allergic to them over time. Try a little bit first and see if you have a reaction - I have heard from different people how they can drink fruit wines although they can't drink grape wines. If this is your situation, adopt this as a white house wine." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Consider this wine as a dinner wine served lightly chilled with fish, ham, pork, roast duck, herbed chicken, stir-fries, creamed pastas, baked brie with roasted garlic, or fresh fruit nibblers. We suggest cheeses such as Gruyere, Swiss, Cheddar Emmental, Asiago or Farmer."
