"DATE: 12-30-07 Appearance: Ruby with the beginnings of brick at the rim.
Nose: Black cherry, plum, sweet oak and an herbal touch.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Add a tobacco/cedar note on the midpalate, with nicely integrated dusty tannins, and a long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Midweight food wine is drinking nicely now, but could certainly go another five years. This should become silky and velvety about 2010, and be a stand-alone treat." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"The nose extends from black cherry and currant into tarragon with a subtext of violet. The bold flavours here boast earthiness with blackberry, black cherry and fine tobacco. Mint undertones give it complexity. The chocolate and fine tobacco finish with lingering tannins makes this a distinctive and exceptional blend."
